The theme of water develops in the Four Rivers suite, in a river itinerary that passes from the Bisagno
(depicted with a cabbage, an allusion to the vegetable gardens of the area) and the Polcevera (with bunches of the white grapes of Coronata),
symbols of Genoa, on to the river Magra and to the Varo which demarcate the borders of Liguria.
In the center Neptune and his wife Amphitrite reaffirm the circularity of the water cycle
and the dominion of Stefano Durazzo/Nettuno over the City.
